The new poinsettia plant in Farmville is a seasonal crop that is available through the end of the month. It costs 45 coins to plant, and can be harvested in one day for 126 coins. They’re certainly fun to look at and of course fit in well with the holidays, but is it worth your time to plant them?
Compared to other flowers, the new poinsettias have good rates of return for both coins and XP. The net profit per hour is 2.87 coins per plot of poinsettia and the net XP per hour is 0.17. Compared to other crops, though, poinsettias fall towards the middle of the pack. Of all the crops currently available, poinsettias rank 14th for XP per hour and 29th for net profit/hour. You’re better off planting many of the regular crops, such as grapes, if you want to get the highest profit possible.
