The holidays are a busy time. So much so that many of us don’t have time to log into Farmville all that much. That’s why this holiday week I’m planting watermelons on my farm. These are a great long-term crop that are available to players who are level 18 or higher. They have a growth cycle time of 82 hours, or just under four days. Plus you get an equivalent amount of time to harvest them, leaving you a full week between logins. Watermelons aren’t a very good crop from either an XP/hour or profit/hour perspective (they rank near the bottom of the charts for both), but they’re ideal when you’re not going to be logging into the game for a while.
Are you level 33 or higher? Than give Yellow Melons a try. These have an even longer growing cycle of 92 hours and perform slightly better than Watermelons in terms of profit/hour.
